Re Wellard GY300
Interesting comments on site - my grandfather, Samuel Shanks, was a sometime skipper though I dont know the dates. Good photo of Wellard in the Grimsby Evening Telegraph archives of which I have a framed copy.
Liked the site.

The Lord Airedale GY 910 which appears on this site as lost in 1916 was actually sunk twice. In March 1915 she went down with all hands in Bridlington bay in a storm. She was refloated & put back into service before being lost in 1916.

The 1915 crew are mostly buried in Scartho Rd Cemetary. My wife's Great grandfather, Ernest Doore, was never found.
