01/1934 Six of the crew of the Sabik became casualties during a fishing voyage to Iceland which terminated when the trawler returned to port after being away over three weeks. Those affected were: S.T. Abram, wireless operator H. Chamberlain and R. Thornton, Trimmers A. Holloway Chief Engineer G.H.Colyer , Deckhand (influenza). Further misfortune occurred when G. McClean, deckhand cut his hand on a wire warp and as blood poisoning developed Skipper Walker put into Dryfjord where McClean was left in hospital.
