Acantha GY 383

Acantha Built 28/11/1914 by Cochranes of Selby for Equitable Steam Fishing Co
05/04/1915 Stopped by U10 and sunk by Torpedo, she was on the return voyage, Captured by the KDM submarine SMU U10 Commanded by Fritz Stuhr.
The crew were ordered to abandon ship and she was sunk by surface torpedo, it is however reported that whilst in the escape boat they took fire from rifles of the crew of the submarine
All crew escaped
The submarine then headed south after the Acantha Exploded and Sank
The crew were eventually picked up by the Swedish Steamer Tord and landed them at Blyth
