Rochester GY 671

Rochester built 1898 Mackie & Thomson Govan for Hagerup Doughty & Co. Grimsby 04/1906 Registered to Consolidated Steam Fishing & Ice Co.
10/1914 Requisitioned as a mine sweeper 1919 Returned 01/1925 Transferred to Lowestoft. Lost Thursday 27th July 1944. Struck a mine 27 miles East-North-East of Withernsea Light House 53 54N 00 42 30E whilst steaming home with 20 kits of fish aboard. Evidently, the vessel sank very close to that position. Eleven members of her crew were rescued but one lost
