Sheffield Wednesday Built 1933 Smiths Dock Co Ltd South Bank Middlesbrough for Consolidated Fisheries Ltd Grimsby  16/06/1937 Left Grimsby this morning bound for her new owners in Ymuiden Holland re-named Erin  05/1940 Requisitioned as an anti-submarine vessel to the 3rd Auxiliary A/S Group  18/01/1942 The Erin whilst lying in Gibraltar Bay was hit by explosion at 18.00 A fire broke out and she sank soon afterwards
