02/05/1911 Edward Mercy Downes, of Yarmouth, a deckhand on the trawler was awarded the King’s Medal for gallantry at sea,
25/01/1910, having pulled through heavy seas to the foundering Hull trawler GOTHIC, saving four hands.  The King himself presented the medal.
